Question #411

Pronator quadratus

Pronator quadratus is a deep muscle of the anterior forearm compartment. It arises from the distal ulna with fibres passing transversely to the distal radius.

It pronates the forearm, and unlike pronator teres which is active during rapid movement, is the principal pronator.

It is innervated by the anterior interosseous branch of the median nerve.
