Question #413

Which of the following is supplied by the posterior interosseous nerve?

The posterior interosseous nerve is a branch of the radial nerve. It supplies all the muscles in the posterior compartment of the forearm except:

  • Brachioradialis
  • Extensor carpi radialis longus

Both of these, along with triceps brachii, are innervated by the radial nerve above the elbow.
