Orbicularis oculi

Orbicularis oculi is a circumorbital muscle that can be divided into three different parts:

  1. Orbital
  2. Lacrimal
  3. Palpebral

Orbicularis oculi is innervated by the temporal and zygomatic branches of the facial nerve, and contraction closes the eyelids. It forms the efferent response of the blink reflex.
