Orbicularis oculi is a circumorbital muscle that can be divided into three different parts:

  1. Orbital

Orbicularis oculi is innervated by the temporal and zygomatic branches of the facial nerve, and contraction closes the eyelids. It forms the efferent response of the blink reflex.
